An agent calling a paid API needs a way to discover the price, pay, and receive the result. MPP gives your service a payment flow that software clients can follow through the request itself.
A practical approach
Start with a one-time Lightning charge for a paid endpoint. Your application sets the price and controls access; Phoenixd creates the invoice and receives the Bitcoin payment.
Choose a paid endpoint. Set a price in satoshis for a query, tool call, or piece of content.
Connect the Phoenixd adapter. Pass your configured node client to the Phoenixd MPP SDK. Its Lightning payment method connects the MPP handler to your node's API.
Return the paid response. Verify the client's payment credential, apply your access policy, and return the result with an MPP receipt.
Keep your node credentials on the server and return the resource only after the MPP handler accepts the payment. A client can then pay for each request without going through a separate checkout.
