Agents overview

Use Nodana with an agent to manage hosted Phoenixd nodes or work with Lightning payments inside a node. The two tasks use different APIs and credentials: a scoped Nodana API key manages nodes, while a Phoenixd password accesses a node's Lightning API.

Agent skills are Markdown instructions you can add to a compatible agent runtime. Choose the skill for the API your agent needs to use:

• Nodana skill — create, inspect, and manage hosted nodes with a scoped Nodana API key.
• Phoenixd skill — inspect balances, create invoices, and make authorized Lightning payments inside a node using its Phoenixd password.

Each page links to a downloadable SKILL.md file and explains how to configure the required credentials. Install only the skills and permissions your agent needs.
