Bitcoin Apps
Use your Nodana-hosted Phoenixd node as the Lightning backend for Bitcoin apps that support Phoenixd. Alby Hub and LNbits add different ways to use the same kind of node: Alby Hub connects other apps through Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC), while LNbits provides wallets, APIs, and extensions backed by a funding source.
Before connecting an app
Create a node and wait until it is ready. Save its HTTPS endpoint and Phoenixd passwords when they are shown. A Nodana API key manages node hosting; it does not authenticate an app to Phoenixd.
An app that sends payments needs the full-access Phoenixd password. The restricted password is suitable for reading node state and creating invoices, but cannot send payments. Give the full-access password only to an app you trust, keep it in that app's server-side secret storage, and never give the app your recovery words. Stopping the node will make its payment API unavailable to the app.
Alby Hub
Alby Hub supports an external Phoenixd node for processing Lightning payments. Run your Alby Hub on Umbrel or in the cloud and go throught the setup process. You will be able to choose Phoenixd node from the options. Enter your url and full password that Nodana provides and you are good to go.
LNbits
LNbits also supports an external Phoenixd node for processing Lightning payments. Once you've accessed your LNbits instance locally or in the cloud you will be able to connect your Nodana hosted Phoenixd node to start receiving payments.
StackerNews
StackerNews is the popular HackerNews style website for Bitcoiners. You can connect your Nodana Phoenixd node to StackerNews to receive payments for your articles.
